The history of Malaysian police traces their existence since the law of Malacca Sultanate in the 1400, then subsequently developed through the history of the nation through administration by the Portuguese, the Dutch, modernisation by the British beginning in the early 1800s, and into the era of Malaysian independence. ==First police force in Malacca Sultanate== The police system started since the days of Malay Sultanate of Malacca.
